I will be leading the second-to-last in this series of Mental Health workshops at our church, this Sunday, January 28, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. We will be talking about topics having to do with the holidays and the new year – the many stresses of the holidays, especially all the time with family, and whether or not New Year’s resolutions are helpful. If you’ve ever been curious about what people mean by Family Systems, then you will learn about it!

Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please join us, whether or not you are part of the church.

A couple weeks ago, I asked for ideas on Facebook – our church is planning a short series of workshops on Mental Health, and I asked my friends for ideas for workshop topics. This will be my first of several posts which will address those topics.

Community and Mental Health – The “Ted Lasso” Effect

“Ted Lasso” premiered in August of 2020, five months after the pandemic began. The creators of the show could not have anticipated how relevant this message about resilience and community would be, since they started working on the show in 2019. But we can be thankful that the show came out when it did.

Workshop on April 30

I’m very excited to partner with our church, First United Methodist Church in Dearborn, to offer this free workshop to the congregation and the larger community – It will take place after church on Sunday, April 30
